Destinations
Oman
With its wildly enchanting beaches, incredible mountain ranges and vast wilderness of sculpted sands, Oman is a country of majestic beauty and serenity. Oman’s attractions include a largely untouched coastline overlooking the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Gulf along with deserts where you can feel like the only person on earth. The cities here are steeped in history, like the capital Muscat with its forts, palaces and old walls and Al Wattih, which was settled during the Stone Age more than 10,000 years ago. Visitors to this incredible country can discover pristine beaches in Sur, turtle nesting in Ras Al Jinz, the desert dunes of Sharqiya and the ancient tombs at Gaylah.

Muscat is a truly unique city and one of the oldest ports in the Middle East. The city has a magnificent location against the backdrop of the Arabian Peninsula and its famous forts and turrets are tributes to its past as a 19th Century Portuguese port. Muscat is a city that enchants visitors with its souks, ornate domes, shisha cafes and shops that sell everything from antique jewellery to traditional daggers.
The Musandam Peninsula is an exclave on the northern part of Oman and is renowned the stunning natural beauty of its fjord-like landscapes, small villages and the dramatic Hajar Mountains that rise about 2,000 metres above the coast. Jutting into the Strait of Hormuz and separated from the rest of the country by Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, it is just a 2-hour drive from Dubai. Musandam is often called “The Norway of the Middle East” because of its spectacular fjords and breathtaking mountain scenery.
